Scholarships
The Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies has two academic scholarships available to our students. Additionally, the Marily Myerson Student Success Fund offers financial assistance for for conference and research expenses.
Judith Ochshorn Memorial Scholarship in Women's Studies
Offers financial support for full or part-time undergraduate students in Women's Studies, in the College of Arts & Sciences on the Tampa campus.
Deadline to apply for the next academic year is March 14, 2025.
This scholarship is named for the late Dr. Judith Ochshorn, one of the founding faculty of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at 无码专区.
Susan and Skip Bakewell WGS Scholarship
Offers scholarships for full or part-time students, at all academic levels (undergrad and grad), pursuing a Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies major, in the College of Arts & Sciences, on the Tampa campus. This scholarship has preference for financial need, is for 1 semester, and will provide one $500 award annually in either the Fall or Spring.
Deadline to apply for the next academic year is March 14, 2025.
Marilyn Myerson Student Success Fund
This fund offers financial assistance for academic development, and career and educational opportunities, including, but are not limited to: research, conference participation, travel, registration fees for networking, continued education and other career-readiness opportunities. Funds will be used to support full or part-time students, at all academic levels (undergrad and grad), pursuing a major or minor in Women鈥檚, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, in the College of Arts & Sciences, on all campuses. Students can receive an award from this fund once per semester.
Applications are received on a rolling basis and awards are given until funds for the year are exhausted.
This fund is in honor of Dr. Marilyn Myerson, the first outside hire in WGSS, starting in 1973 when the program was just one year old.
