We'll bring together department majors, non-majors, graduate students, alumni, and others who work in diverse fields and industries. Throughout these events, we'll be showcasing panels dedicated to introducing potential careers and help you take your next step toward your Undergraduate journey.
We hope you'll join us for these exciting, new events!

Carmen Gim茅nez
Graywolf Press
Biography.
Carmen Gim茅nez is the author of numerous poetry collections, including Milk and Filth, a finalist for the NBCC Award in Poetry and Be Recorder (Graywolf Press, 2019), which was a finalist for the 2019 National Book Award in Poetry, the PEN Open Book Award, the Audre Lorde Award for Lesbian Poetry, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. She was awarded the Academy of American Poets Fellowship Prize in 2020. A 2019 Guggenheim fellow, she served as the publisher of Noemi Press for twenty years. She is Publisher and Executive Director of Graywolf Press.

Dana Gordon

Biography.
A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor, and Captain Dana has been navigating through the stormy waters of marketing for over 25 years. She steered amidst the economic doldrums of the early 2000s, the intricate tidal shifts between traditional and digital marketing, and ventured between Fortune 200 corporations and micro-agencies before launching Pirate Marketing in 2019. Her favorite part of marketing is helping clients build their brand and chart their course to success.

Donna Longhouse

Biography.
Donna L. Longhouse is a graduate from the 无码专区 and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of 无码专区 Foundation. She is a partner at Longhouse, Richards, Olsen & Rief, PLLC; she practices exclusively in the areas of tax law, trusts and estates. She has been selected as a Best Lawyer in America since 2010, Florida Super Lawyers since 2012, included in the Florida Trend Legal Elite in 2014, and Martindale-Hubbell rates Ms. Longhouse AV Preeminent.
Ms. Longhouse is a frequent lecturer and author on income tax and federal transfer tax issues, wealth preservation, tax-exempt planning, and trust and estate administration, among other topics. She is a Director of the Florida Bar Tax Section. Longhouse is very active within the Tampa Bay Civic community and is a past Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay.

Honey Rand
Writer and Environmentalist
Biography.
Honey Rand lives in Tampa Bay on Florida鈥檚 Gulf Coast. For more than 25 years, she鈥檚 been president of the Environmental PR Group (which focuses on projects, products, and policies that create environmental sustainability and economic vitality). She studied media communication at Fitchburg University in Massachusetts, where she was the Distinguished Graduate in 2010. She received a Master鈥檚 Degree from the University of Washington and a Ph.D. from the 无码专区.
Honey has been writing since she could hold a pencil. This is evidenced in the story 鈥淭he Bear,鈥 scribbled on a scrap of paper. Most of her published pieces deal with water and environmental issues. A few years ago, Honey started to write more personally (memoir, analysis, and even a little humor). She is the author of Water Wars: A Story of People, Politics and Power and is at work on a book called PhosFate (about phosphate strip mining).

Ken Gibson
Crisis Center of Tampa Bay
Biography.
Ken Gibson is the Senior Director of Marketing & Public Relations at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, a Tampa based non-profit organization that works with individuals and families dealing with crisis and traumatic situations. He is currently in his 11th year at the organization, where he works to increase community awareness about the organization and its programs. Ken has over 25 years of experience in marketing, public relations and business development. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in Telecommunications.

Neil Clarke
Clarkesworld Magazine
Biography.
Neil Clarke () is the multi-award-winning editor of Clarkesworld Magazine and over a dozen anthologies, including the Best Science Fiction of the Year series. He is a three-time winner of the Hugo Award for Best Editor Short Form, four-time winner of the Chesley Award for Best Art Director, and 2024 winner of the Locus Award for Best Editor. In 2019, Clarke received the SFWA Kate Wilhelm Solstice Award for distinguished contributions to the science fiction and fantasy community. He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife and two sons.

Ray Ryan
Cambridge University Press
Biography.
Ray Ryan is Senior Commissioning Editor of English and American Literature at Cambridge University Press. He is author of Ireland and Scotland: Literature and Culture, State and Nation, editor of Writing in the Irish Republic: Literature, Culture, Politics, 1949-1999, and co-editor of Ireland and Scotland: Culture and Society, 1700-2000 and The Good of the Novel. Ryan commissions all genres of books - monographs, companions and histories, amongst others on the Cambridge literature list. He is an active speaker at various American universities, attends all major conferences, and engages with a global author base of academics.

Rick Wilber
Science Fiction Author
Biography.
Rick Wilber is an award-winning writer, editor and college professor with a half-dozen novels and short-story collections published or under contract, more than seventy short stories in print or under contract, two dozen poems, five edited anthologies, and five college textbooks on writing and the mass media in print or under contract. He is on the faculty of Western Colorado University鈥檚 low-residency MFA/MA in Creative Writing, where he teaches and is Thesis Coordinator in the Genre Fiction program. He is co-founder and director of the Dell Magazines Award for Undergraduate Excellence in Science Fiction and Fantasy Writing. He is co-founder and co-judge for the award with Sheila Williams, editor of Asimov鈥檚 Science Fiction magazine.

Tara Richter

Biography.
Tara Richter is the President of Richter Publishing LLC. She specializes in helping business owners how to write their non-fiction story in 4 weeks & publish a book in order to become an expert in their industry. Tara has written and published 15 of her own books. Richter Publishing has worked with many authors all over the world including non-profits, Fortune 500 Corporations such as Blooming Inc. and the Mahaffey Company and published over 200 some titles.
