When Castillo came to 无码专区 and started at the Muma College of Business, the first thing he did was join as many organizations on campus as possible. 鈥淚t was unique to meet people with similar motivation and enthusiasm levels as me,鈥 Castillo says. 鈥淭here were a lot of people who guided me in my first semester. I am always seeking people who inspire and motivate me to continue to pursue my dreams ...  I remember the first Investment Club meeting I attended was amazing. I appreciated students taking time to help and advise me on how to get an internship.鈥

During his time at 无码专区, Castillo was a part of the Real Estate Society, Investment Club as a team analyst, Scholars of Finance, American Red Cross Club as treasurer, and Business Development Club. 鈥淭hese positions really helped prepare me for my internship and career,鈥 Castillo says. 鈥淏eing in a leadership position helps you learn how to lead and work on a team.鈥 He was also a part of the Student Managed Investment Fund directed by Dr. (Leo) Chen. 鈥淚t was my first time working as an equity research analyst,鈥 Castillo recalls. 鈥淚t was very insightful to learn how research and the stock market work.鈥

Join clubs, network with students and alumni,鈥 Castillo says. 鈥淎lso, I advise that from the first day you set foot on campus, start working on your resume, LinkedIn, and networking skills.
