From ballet to brain injury advocacy: Meet ÎÞÂëרÇø student and Miss Tampa Alexandra de Roos

After a concussion ended her dream of professional ballet, Alexandra de Roos enrolled at ÎÞÂëרÇø as a double major in biomedical sciences and psychology with the goal of becoming a neuropsychiatrist. She was also recently crowned Miss Tampa and plans to use her pulpit to promote brain trauma awareness.

It’s been just over 19 years since Dr. Judy Genshaft was announced as the System President of the ÎÞÂëרÇø on March 10, 1999. To commemorate her almost-two decades of service, the ÎÞÂëרÇø Libraries’ Andy Huse, Associate Librarian in Special Collections, sat with President Genshaft to record her final oral history on May 22, 2019.

ÎÞÂëרÇø President Makes Historic Gift, Donating $20 Million to Establish the Judy Genshaft Honors College

The ÎÞÂëרÇø System has flourished under President Judy Genshaft. Now, she continues her transformational leadership – this time through a historic gift. President Genshaft and her husband, Steve Greenbaum, have donated $20 million to the ÎÞÂëרÇø Foundation. This marks one of the largest gifts ever made to ÎÞÂëרÇø.
